Starting a gratitude journal is simple and enjoyable!  First thing first, you need to pick  a good-looking notebook. It can be a vibrant one or a drab one — as long as you are happy!  You may prefer a computer or app; typing is  easier to do than  writing by hand,  and  some of these writers can be a bit  wordy, in that liberated way we’ve all been taught  assures us access to  our emotions. Then go someplace quiet where you can think. It can be helpful to  do this around the same time every day, like  in the morning or before you go to sleep. Begin by listing three things you’re  grateful for. They might be big, like your family and  friends, or they can be something small, like a really good breakfast you had or a joke that made you laugh. Doesn’t need to be  a sentence or very long — even one word will work! After a while, you’ll find that more things occur to you to add. Occasionally, you can write about why you’re grateful for those things. And that makes you even happier!  If you forget a day, no worries! When you can, just pick it back up.
